The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
During tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire house efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves on.
What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.
You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be removed frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling mop robot vacuum over furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features that you don't often see on robots of this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is among the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are great however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category which could make it a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel has an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu in which you can modify how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
